Warming Oatmeal w/ a Twist

3Here’s a wintry way to enjoy your oatmeal, taken directly from Modern Taste Blog:
For a long time I was wondering what to write about this oatmeal. What can you write about oatmeal anyways? I think, everything was already said. I could write how much I adore it, how good it tastes on winter mornings. I could mention, that perspective of having breakfast like that helps to get up like nothing else 🙂 And then I could confess, that I am completely addicted to this oatmeal. So today I’m just gonna say, that whoever thought of adding salt to a caramel sauce, was a genius 🙂  
for 1 portion
5 tbsp oats
200 ml milk
1 tbsp salted caramel sauce (or 1 tbsp caramel sauce and big pinch of salt)
1 tsp vanilla extract
some chopped walnuts
Pour milk into a pot and add oats. Cook it on low heat for about 5 minutes, or longer if you want your oatmeal to be more creamy. Remove from the heat and add salted caramel sauce and vanilla extract. Mix, pour into a bowl and sprinkle the top with nuts.
